Slow progress

In less than 1 week the temperatures dropped about 15 degrees Celsius. We skipped fall and are having a cold winter instead.

When it is raining - such as today - it is a bit warmer and we feel better. The change was too dramatic. We did not have time to acclimatize.

In between rain periods we are picking olives. We started before the rain and than it was really difficult, because of the dust falling from the leaves and the olives being small and hard to spot.

After the rain, it has become easybecause the dust washed away and the olives have become huge.

That doesn't mean we will have more olive oil. Only water was added.

Zakaria loves going with us into the olive tree yards, but after a few hours he wants to return home to watch cartoons and to play with his toys. He doesn't stop bothering us until we give in and go home.

We are in general 2 to 3 picking olives, as this year there is not enough to bring in extra workers.

Needless to say, the progress is low.

My guess is that at this rate we will have finished somewhere late in December.
